About this plant

A durable indoor plant with large, glossy leaves that make a strong visual statement. Tolerant of normal household conditions once it has a bright spot.

What you receive

A potted plant roughly 45–90 cm tall. Photos show mature specimens; you receive a young nursery plant.

Suitability for the Faisalabad region

A good fit for Faisalabad interiors: it handles warm rooms and the dry air of summer better than most large-leaved plants. Give it bright indirect light — near a window but out of harsh direct afternoon sun — and avoid dark corners, where it grows leggy and drops leaves. Keep it clear of cold winter draughts.

Care

Water when the top 3 cm of soil feels dry; it prefers drying slightly between waterings and drops leaves if kept soggy. Feed monthly in the growing season with a balanced fertiliser. Wipe the big leaves regularly — Faisalabad dust settles fast and dulls them. Prune the tip if you want branching rather than a single tall stem.

Please note: The milky sap can irritate skin and eyes, and the plant is toxic if eaten. Keep out of reach of children and pets and wash hands after pruning.
