A familiar, useful succulent with thick fleshy leaves. Happy in a pot on a sunny ledge or in the ground, and very tolerant of neglect.

A rooted potted plant roughly 20–35 cm tall. Photos show mature specimens; you receive a young nursery plant.
Handles Faisalabad heat well and needs little water, which suits the long dry summer. Give it morning sun or bright partial sun; in the peak of June, shade from the harshest afternoon sun keeps the leaves from browning. Protect it from waterlogging in the monsoon and from frost on the coldest winter nights.
Water only when the soil has dried out fully; in winter this can mean quite rarely. Fast drainage is essential — use a sandy mix and a pot with a drainage hole, as sitting water rots the roots. Feeding is barely needed; a weak dose of balanced fertiliser once or twice a year is plenty. Remove spent outer leaves at the base and separate pups if the pot gets crowded.
